SUNDAY MARKET GUIDES
LOCATION + PARKING
Hingetown is a new(ish) Cleveland neighborhood that has turned a deadzone connecting key neighorhoods (Downtown, Ohio City and Detroit-Shoreway) into a vibrant pocket that brings live-work-eat-play to new heights in the city. Located right across the Detroit-Superior Bridge from downtown, Hingetown is easy to find and even easier to enjoy.
HOW TO GET HERE: Hingetown is at West 29th and Detroit Ave. Need turn-by-turn? Google Maps is our BFF. Or plug the address 1455 West 29th in to your GPS.
WHERE TO PARK: Ample street parking is available in the neighborhood. Consider carpooling whenever possible. Hingetown is easy to reach via bike and bus (RTA #26 drops you on the spot). Consider Lyft, Uber or another rideshare.
1. WHAT IS SUNDAY MARKET?
It's a brunch-themed street market that takes shoppers to the near Westside neighborhood of Hingetown (part of Ohio City). You'll find an impressive food spread and brunchie drinks, plenty of vintage and salvage dealers, neighborhood shops and a collection of handmade vendors.
2. WHO RUNS SUNDAY MARKET?
Sunday Market is a production of Indie Foundry (maker of the Cleveland Flea). The Cleveland Flea was founded by Indie Foundry owner Stephanie Sheldon. The Flea is run by a small (but so mighty) team of full-time awesome peeps who live, breathe and dream Flea. Sarah Wilt is our magical market manager. Emilie Hongosh and Emily Chumbler are interns turning creative processes into progress. Gina Kelly tells the story of the Flea, its shoppers, artists and makers. Heidi Rolf designs everything amazing you see. And Stephanie is at the helm, steering the ship toward brilliant tomorrows!
Team Flea organizes a series of events, vets vendors, recruits shoppers, procures permits and licenses, hires security, removes trash, rents furniture, builds stuff, plays the music, listens to your feedback, markets the market, encourages partnerships and aims to pair shoppers with their new favorite businesses in a fun and dreamy way. Have questions? Email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our stand at the next event.
3. DO VENDORS ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
Most Sunday Market vendors and Hingetown neighborhood shops do accept credit cards, but not all. Plus: the Sunday Market Bar is CASH ONLY. Need an ATM? Here's a map of all area ATMs (or check with your specific bank).
4. HOW CAN I BECOME A VENDOR AT SUNDAY MARKET?
Direct your attention to our Vendor Application and Process. We look forward to learning more about you and your business!
5. MAY I BRING MY DOG TO SUNDAY MARKET?
We love dogs. We absolutely welcome well-behaved dogs at Sunday Market. We just ask that you keep your furry BFF on a leash!
